So it’s Monday morning, by now you should have a game plan for the week. Your top 3 goals for the week should be written down somewhere for you to view often. Your action plans should be set to help you accomplish these goals. You should have a keen focus on how you want this week to play out. Of course you can expect some stumbling blocks along the way, but they shouldn’t take you off of your focus. Here are some tips to conquering your week.
Be realistic sis
Don’t set yourself up for failure…..seriously. Be realistic with your goals. Before you set them, ask yourself, “Is this even obtainable in this timeframe?” Can you really accomplish what you wrote in that designated time? Your goals should push you to work harder, not stress you out and set you up for disappointment and even depression. For instance, this week, I’m pushing myself to go up in my weight sets at the gym. I know it may hurt, I know I may feel uncomfortable, but can I do it? ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY! It’s just a matter of DOING IT! Your goals should be the same way.
Write the vision
Don’t just set these imaginary goals in your head. You have to write them down so that you can see them often. You know the whole “out of sight, out of mind” thing is real sis! You should keep these goals in your face. Get a planner, or write them on your bathroom mirror, put a note in your office, or place index cards on your walls. Do what you gotta do so that you can see your vision each and every day. These reminders keep you focused and won’t let you go astray, even when times get hard.
Celebrate the wins
Now this one is me talking to myself. I have a hard time with this one. We make so may strides towards our goals each week, and we don’t take the time (well at least I don’t) to pat ourselves on the back and say “Good job girl! YOU DID THAT!” This is super important in evolving and growing. If you don’t take the time to see where you’ve come from, you won’t realize how far you’ve actually come. Without this reflection, you won’t have the drive to continue going. So it’s uber important that you take a few moments after each day and reflect on your wins.
