What the heck is a lace closure?
I get asked this question, quite often. Closures are a full coverage hair attachments that protect your natural hair. They can be added to your sew in or a wig. Unlike tracks, it attaches to a lace base allowing it to have a scalp like a resemblance.
The base mimics a scalp and consists of a piece of lace fabric with numerous single hair strands attached. They come in various sizes but usually come in a square or rectangular shaped piece usually about four by four. Closures are ideal for anyone who wants a full coverage weave (no leave out).
Closures are still pretty new to most people, yet its a necessity to others (including myself). Closures are an amazing way to to protect your hair from heat, the environment and everyday wear and tear. Underneath the closures, you hair is completely braided, leaving no leave out. Closures can be customized to look extremely natural by bleaching the knots of the closures, and plucking the hairline from the lace, and tinting the lace.
What type of lace do I need?
Lace closures can be purchased in a variety of textures and sizes. Closures can also vary in their lace types (silk based or lace based). Silk based closures can give a more scalp like resemblance, however, lace based closures can be customized to do the same. The most typical lace closure size is a 4 x 4. This size closure covers the from the tip of the beginning of your eyebrows to the crown of your head. Other sizes are a 5 x 5, 6 x 6, and even a 7 x 7. The larger the closure, the wider the coverage/circumference of the closure. In most cases, these closures can be reused several times with installations.
The Studio 1216 closures can be purchased in textures: Italian Curly, Silky Straight, Body Wave, and Deep Wave.
How do I purchase a closure?
The Studio 1216 Lace closures can be purchased on my website, The Studio 1216.com. Typically 2-3 bundles and 1 closure is needed for a full install depending on the density or fullness you want with your install. All closures sold on my site are lace, free part closures. A freepart closure allows you to place (and move) the part anywhere you desire (left or right side or middle). All of my closures can be lightened and colored, as well as plucked for a more natural appearance. Order a Studio Luxe closure along with your bundles, by simply clicking the button below.
