So you want the real tea on the Stunna Lip Paint by Fenty Beauty huh? You’ve come to the right place. I’ll have to admit, this is the one product that I watched for a while and pretty much made the decision, NOT to purchase it. However, I went to Sephora to do some shopping and low and behold, STUNNA was screaming “BUY ME CHRISSY! BUY ME!” I went against my better judgement and purchased it. After all, it was the night of the Xscape concert and what better way to party with Xscape than with a RED LIP! Stunna is said to be a universal red color with 12 hours of long lasting wearability. It is also said not to bleed or feather.
THE STUNNA LOOK:
Once I got home, I was actually excited to try on this lip color. I knew I wanted to go with more of a smokey eye look. Once I sat at my vanity, the creativity just took over. I created a green smokey eye using my Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette. I kept the skin pretty clean and simple. I didn’t want to go overboard with highlight or blush because I knew the eyes and the lips would be pretty bold. I took this photo prior to applying lashes, by the way. I wore my GIRL BOSS LASHES with this look. As you can see the red is pretty bold. I was a little disappointed to see that this was more of an ORANGE-RED. I typically go for a more deeper toned red, such as a BLUE – RED. Nevertheless, it is still a very pretty color.
THE STUNNA DETAILS
I must say, I’m a sucker for packaging!!! This looks just like nail polish right?! I love it. The wand is pretty dope too. It’s not the typical doefoot wand. This one is lip defining, shorter and allows for a more precise application of color. I can say, the consistency is very runny, so you have to take your time with applying it. Also, it dries SUPER QUICK. This is a good thing for those of you who love the matte look.
THE STUNNA RESULTS:
Overall I would have to say this is not a bad lipstick at all. I wasn’t impressed with it due to the color and the consistency. It was a bit too dry for my liking. However, the color is super pigmented and long lasting as it states. I would definitely say give it a try for yourself. I’m sure I’ll wear this color again and again because I LOVE a red lip in the WINTER! If you would like to order STUNNA LIP PAINT, for $24, you can get yours here from Sephora.
