Thanksgiving is right around the corner can you believe it? This year has flown by so fast. What better way to celebrate an amazing year than with friends, family, or loved ones? Growing up, Thanksgiving was one of those days where you put on a nice outfit and looked your very best. (I don’t know why considering we were around family/friends and ate until we went to sleep). But hey! Those were Mom’s rules and we abided by them. Now that I’m older, I still like to look my best on Thanksgiving Day, even though I’m now the one in the kitchen. LOL. I still like to SLAY behind the STOVE. Here are a few quick tips to help you SLAY on this THANKSGIVING DAY.
Tip #1: SKIN IS IN
Makeup isn’t for everyone, I get that. However, you can’t deny your skin. Skin is the largest organ of your body and no matter what, you can’t hide it. Why not take care of it. Develop a consistent skin care routine that consists of cleaning, toning and moisturizing. I recommend doing this routine twice per day. This will help to not only remove any dirt and pollution from your skin, but it will also help to develop a supple and radiant glow. Even if you don’t wear makeup, your skin can have a beautiful natural glow from within. Here are some of my recommended products for skin care:
Tip #2: PRIME IT UP
Thanksgiving is all about the KITCHEN, which is turn could mean HEAT!!! Therefore, you skin may get a bit more oily if you will be in the kitchen (or around the kitchen). Priming is so super important for several reasons. Primer gives your makeup something to stick to. It also tends to delay or reduce your natural oils from peeping through. Now Primer won’t STOP your oils form doing what they are designed to do, however, it will give you a little more time to Slay throughout the day. If you have oily skin, the Becca Matte Primer will keep you Matte throughout the day. The Smashbox Primer is great for any skin type. You can grab either (or both) of those primers here:
TIP #3: A POPPIN’ PALETTE
The right palette can get you through ANY occasion, holiday, or event! I think every woman needs at least 1 poppin palette in their life! It’s just…..a MUST. The ideal palette is one that has a great mixture of mattes, and shimmers, bold/vivid colors and neutrals. These type of palettes will allow you to get your money’s worth because you will use it ALL OF THE TIME! Here are a few of my HIGHLY RECOMMENDED palettes:
I hope these tips were extremely helpful for you. It is my hope that you will be able to SLAY this Thanksgiving Day! If you purchase any of these products, let me know.
